The Current Situation in Mexico (as of Feb. 23, 2026)

Over the past several days, Mexican federal authorities have conducted significant security operations targeting organized crime groups in multiple regions of the country.

In response, U.S. and Canadian authorities have issued updated precautionary travel advisories for certain regions of Mexico, including Baja California. Mexican federal and state authorities have increased visible security presence in impacted areas as part of their response.

In Baja California, including areas of Tijuana, there have been reports of temporary road blockages and limited criminal activity associated with broader federal enforcement actions.

At this time:

• Border crossings between San Diego and Tijuana remain open and operational

• Airports and commercial travel routes are functioning

• Tourist and residential areas continue normal activity

• There have been no safety incidents involving Ambio facilities, staff, or guests

Ambio’s Operational Status in Mexico

As of February 23, 2026, Ambio’s facilities have not experienced disruption, and all scheduled programming is continuing as planned.

Patient arrivals, clinical programming, transportation coordination, and on-site care are proceeding as scheduled.

In the unlikely event that the need arises for guests to vacate the country, we will provide secure and immediate transport directly from our facilities to San Diego. Our leadership team monitors regional developments continuously and maintains communication with local partners. We remain prepared to adapt quickly should conditions change.

Ambio’s Commitment to Guest Safety

Safety has always been central to Ambio’s operating model. Our facilities function within secure, controlled environments supported by:

• Restricted access protocols

• Coordinated professional transportation

• Continuous on-site staff presence

• Established safety procedures developed over years of operating in Baja California

We do not take security lightly. We plan for contingencies, monitor developments in real time, and prioritize stability in every aspect of care for our guests.

Treatment Scheduling and Flexibility

We understand that the current situation in Mexico may be resulting in a change in the comfort levels of our guests and their families.

Patients who wish to adjust their treatment dates may contact our team to discuss rescheduling options, subject to availability. While availability through 2026 remains limited at our Mexico clinics, we will do our best to accommodate individual circumstances.

Should a guest choose to cancel treatment, standard refund policies remain in effect.

Cancellation more than 45 days prior to treatment: refund minus $1,000 deposit

• Cancellation less than 45 days prior to treatment: no refund will be issued

We encourage patients to reach out promptly if they would like to discuss scheduling adjustments.

Ongoing Monitoring and Communication

Ambio’s leadership team is actively monitoring regional developments and official advisories. We encourage guests and their families to consult their home country’s travel advisory services, including the U.S State Department and Global Affairs Canada.

If circumstances change in a way that impacts patient safety or operational continuity, we will communicate immediately and directly with affected patients. We remain committed to transparency, preparedness, and the highest standards of care.
