Patient reported stable physical and mental health prior to treatment, following significant lifestyle improvements over the previous 18 months, including a 60-pound weight loss and discontinuation of blood pressure medication. However, he experienced severe knee pain due to cartilage loss, with a knee replacement scheduled. Additionally, reported difficulty with alcohol use.
“In the prior 18 months I had lost 60 pounds, gotten off BP meds… but I had pretty severe knee pain.”
He arrived at Ambio physically stronger than in years past, but still carrying daily pain and emotional heaviness related to past alcohol use. His knee condition had progressed to the point of scheduling surgical intervention.
“The knee pain went away. But imaging shows that the knee has no cartilage left.”
Despite no change in his imaging, the pain that once dictated his mobility and outlook lifted, so dramatically that he canceled the surgery.
“The experience of all of it was profound. The attention to detail, love and intention was evident in every aspect of the treatment.”
