José Inzunza is the Chief Medical Officer and Co-Founder of Ambio Life Sciences. A pioneer in ibogaine treatment safety, José brings over 15 years of frontline emergency medical experience to his leadership at Ambio. His background as a firefighter and paramedic, along with his service in the Mexican Red Cross, informs his rigorous approach to risk mitigation, clinical preparedness, and medical ethics. He is a certified instructor with both the American Heart Association and the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, and has trained emergency professionals across Latin America. José has co-authored groundbreaking research on ibogaine applications for trauma, pain, and TBI, and his work integrates Western clinical protocols with a human-centered approach to care.
